Used for research and public education it opened in 1918.
Telescope
mount is one of the horse and buggy era things that is still in
use.
State of the art optics, by year 2000 standards, keeps this telescope a
relevent force in astronomical research. I biked up Observatory
Hill,
(also known as Little Saanich Mountain) north of Victoria, BC, Canada
to
