About two hundred miles to the west, in 1995, some campers named their site Faerie County, population 16.  They were set up at the TRC gay resort that used to be located near Index, WA. on the Stevens Pass Highway.  I passed both signs on my 1995 bike trip across Steven's Pass and into the north east part of the state.
