Boulevard Park along South Bay Trail
There are now several on-line bicycle maps for Bellingham, WA.  My map provides an overview of streets and trails.  At 110kb (jpg html jpg format) the page is fairly quick to load.  I drew the map with a felt pen and scanned it in.  Feel free to get your own printouts, looks best with a color printer.

Also there is now a "paper" map of Bellingham & Whatcom County available at local bike shops.  Mt. Baker Bicycle Club contributed to its production.

I sometimes start from my house near Lake Padden or drive to World Gym and bicycle to Fairhaven 24th St. through the interurban trail (both ways), then to Marina Park near the Alaska Ferry terminal and then-past Boulevard Park to Zaunich Park to Cornwall Park past Broadway Park to Memorial Park and the railroad beds, to Alabama Vining Bridge to Bloedel Park and back to World Gym.

It's such a spectacular ride because of all the parks it goes through or passes.

I bought my first bicycle last year at the age of 50 and put 1,000 miles on it.  Since January this year I have 2,300 miles and I hope to reach 3,000 miles by the end of October.

There are so many beautiful places to ride in Whatcom and Skagit county and of course B.C. especially along the seaside.  Thanks for creating your map and site to share with others.  That is very altruistic.
