Gorge Dam along Highway 20

Ross Dam

540 ft. tall, an arch dam.  Holding back the Skagit River's tremendous water pressure
and turning that pressure into a force that runs much of Seattle; electricity.

Like the dams and power generators, the bicycle is also a machine,
but it is a machine more dwarfed by nature.
