Sunrise over Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts |
|

| I didn't actually get into the
town of Salisbury Beach. When bike touring, one usually spends all
their time getting to the destination and runs out of time at the destination.
Salisbury Beach wasn't really a destination. I didn't even know where
it was until just a few days before I got there. It was just the
best place, I could find, to camp near the Atlantic. I camped in
the state park just south of the town. Got a view of the town from
a distance.
On the way to the beach I went through Newburyport. Now I wish I would have spent more time there. Lots of old buildings. This house with a sign that said "built in 1649" or something like that. Just think, it was over 100 years old in George Washington's time. |
