| I decided to
take a side trip across the Dumbarton Bridge, by Palo Alto. This
met dropping down out of the mountains and then having to climb back up,
later in the trip.
Yes the distraction was worth it. There was a radio tower I had to look at. Notice 3 red and white towers on left. That is where San Francisco radio station KGO broadcasts from. More on that next page. This made for an interesting backdrop to the bike path. Dumbarton is only bridge across San Francisco Bay with a bike path. It's clear down by Palo Alto and Freemont. Old drying pans, for sea salt, are now being restored into natural wetlands. Notice red color? Area is in transition. Power lines marching off to the south. A good place to visit tide flats. |
