Heading west again from Palo Alto, I got to go past the Stanford Accelerator.  2 miles long.

Someone once ask me if it looked scary.

It did, sort of.

Looked a bit like a super long, run down, mobile home.  It was hard to tell what the monster was like from that far away as  I was riding up Sand Hill Road.

The science, done inside, can be fascinating.  Looking into the nature of matter and our universe.  I am a fan of cosmic research.

My 2004 Bike Tour

Dropping down west slopes toward coast.

Climbing over mountains west of Stanford on a little road that looked like someone's driveway.

Old La Honda Road.

Quite a few cyclists passed me on fitness rides that were "hill climbs."

Eventually I got to Highway 1 again, near San Gregorio, along the California coast.
