Woman at ticket booth didn't know.  When I ask another trolley employee about it, she answered by pushing the button to open the door.  I rolled onboard.

San Diego area has great public transit.  Trolleys go several directions, there's also the Coaster Train.  Buses and bicycle friendly streets go all over that city.
