Rick wanted to keep going, but felt he must stop and take train back from San Luis Obispo.  There are other priorities; like paying the rent back home. 

South of here, the trip would get more expensive.  Going through Los Angeles would most likely mean motel stays.

What's that round thing on the front of my bike above the front wheel?  It's an  antenna booster to improve AM radio reception.  Also see about plastic panniers.
