Amazing, one can just roll into the special "bike car" and tie up to a rack.  Then sit near the bike area, or better yet,  on upper level, where one could see bikes riding safely below. 

Ticket price was very reasonable.

Rick suggested taking our bikes on the Caltrain (he used to live in the Bay Area) for a quick trip to Mountainview.

Bike trains make sense.  Then a train doesn't have to visit every neighborhood.  Just bike to the train and then bike off where ever one needs to go.  It's so convenient, I wonder why cars still sit, in bumper to bumper traffic, on the Bayshore Freeway.

After getting on the train, we did see a little sign that said loaded panniers weren't allowed. No one said anything.  It wasn't rush hour and everything rode smoothly.
