I was hoping to get all the way to San Diego and Rick understood, but he also ask a good question.
"Wouldn't you really rather spend more time around places like Santa Cruz with its cultural life and nude beach?"  He thought Los Angeles would just be miles of boring sprawl.  One can see sprawl just staying home and going near the Meridian Street malls in Bellingham. 

One can say, "You see one Midas Muffler shop you've seen them all."

Speaking of goals, a talk show, on the radio, interviewed someone who's goal was to visit every Starbucks Coffee location in the world.  Driving, flying or however he could get there; it's a daunting task.  Last year, he got to several thousand, but they opened over a thousand more.  The talk show said, "Don't you feel like your on an endless treadmill?"
