| Bicycling is
a great way to see the redwoods. Some of this route, south of Eureka,
is on a quiet back road called "Avenue of the Giants." Other sections
are along more busy and noisier Highway 101. In a few spots, 101
gets narrow as big trees stand right next to the fog line. Most of
the way, drivers are fairly careful so the route is at least tolerable.
