Thought provoking photos and comments: by region, by subject.

Near Deception Pass bridge, my first day, I met two cyclists from Vancouver, BC.  Young and healthy, excited about life, they were passing out copies of MOMENTUM, Vancouver's splashy "alternative transportation" magazine.  The man was wearing a T-shirt saying, "we don't cross borders, they cross us."

I had the joy of riding with them a ways before they headed off to Port Townsed, and then on to a Bike Fest in Portland OR.  It was long enough to learn about the "Wholesome Undie," a cycling event in Vancouver where people strip down to their underwear and bike.  It's a spoof on the name "Molson Indy," a car race sponsored by Molson Brewing of Canada.
