![]() Heading into central Oregon, on the east side of the Cascades. Natural scenery was spectacular, but there were less people to generate interesting stories. Looking for a place to camp, I stumbled upon Smith Rock State Park. It is a rock climber's paradise. An old volcanic neck that is now being eroded away.
